Dr. João (John) Trein, MD, MpH is a distinguished anterior segment and vitreoretinal surgeon. Dr. Trein earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Brazil. He completed his ophthalmology residency and clinical and surgical retina fellowship at the University of São Paulo, where he also served as a preceptor. With over two decades of clinical and surgical expertise in Brazil and the United States, Dr. Trein currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
