- World-Renowned Faculty: Learn from global leaders in ophthalmology, each bringing decades of experience and pioneering research to the classroom.
- Personalized Mentorship: Benefit from an unparalleled 1:3 faculty-to-participant ratio, ensuring individualized attention and feedback.
- Complex Case Simulations: Tackle challenging scenarios to elevate your decision-making and technical skills.
- Cutting-Edge Curriculum: Master the Yamane technique and explore the latest innovations in scleral fixation procedures.
Day 1: Upper Blepharoplasty and Brow Lifting
On the first day, immerse yourself in a dynamic learning environment as we delve into essential topics and practical sessions focused on upper blepharoplasty and brow lifting techniques. The day begins with the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the latest equipment and practice incision techniques using the CO2 Laser (Hemera – Deka). Participants will explore the nuances of upper eyelid surgery, including managing ptosis and mastering brow lifting techniques through hands-on sessions.
We will then transition into practical applications of the Brassiere suture technique, which is crucial for achieving optimal cosmetic results. Participants will be challenged with simulated surgical scenarios designed to enhance their ability to manage complex cases. The procedures performed will be recorded and later reviewed in discussion sessions, allowing participants to refine their techniques based on feedback and analysis of the challenges encountered. This approach ensures that by the end of the day, surgeons will have gained the confidence to apply these advanced techniques in real-world settings.
Day 2: Lower Blepharoplasty, SOOF Lift, and Fat Transfer
The second day offers participants the opportunity to further enhance their skills, focusing on lower blepharoplasty, SOOF lift, and fat transfer procedures. The day will begin with an in-depth discussion of the various approaches to lower eyelid surgery, followed by hands-on sessions where participants will perform transconjunctival and transcutaneous techniques.
Participants will also engage in practical sessions involving the Polipore implant (Matrix Surgical, USA) in the malar region, a crucial procedure for providing structural support and enhancing facial rejuvenation. The day will conclude with a comprehensive review of the procedures and an exploration of advanced laser techniques, including CO2 Laser incisions and resurfacing. The integration of drug delivery using Toskanimed US will also be demonstrated, offering participants a complete overview of cutting-edge techniques in oculoplastic surgery.
By the end of the program, surgeons will be equipped with the knowledge and proficiency to excel in both upper and lower blepharoplasty, along with brow lifting and fat transfer techniques. This immersive experience, featuring hands-on practice with advanced equipment and materials, will provide participants with the skills needed to manage complex oculoplastic cases with confidence.
